Valley Township Responds to Car-vs-Deer Crash on I-80

Danville, PA — November 17 — A driver hit a deer on Interstate 80 on Monday night, prompting the Department Valley Township Fire Department to respond. The car had stopped off the road, and five members arrived at the scene. While law enforcement finished its investigation, crews controlled traffic and made sure that responders and passing cars could work safely.
Firefighters checked the car and the road for dangers including debris and leaking fluids. EMS was not required, and no injuries were recorded. Units were put back into service when the tow operator cleared the car and the travel lane was verified to be secure.
