Danville, PA — November 12 — The Valley Township Fire Department finished a course on roadway-scene safety and traffic control. Ten men participated in the drill, which was directed by Training Lieutenant 92. Cone patterns, flagging techniques, safe equipment placement, and communication between traffic personnel and command were all covered in the program.
During MVAs and other traffic situations, more recent firefighters received experience in safeguarding responders and the general public. The significance of high-visibility PPE, working in tandem with law enforcement, and remaining vigilant when operating close to active traffic lanes were all emphasised by the instructors.
