Danville, PA — November 11 — In honour of Veterans Day, the Department Valley Township Fire Department expressed gratitude to everyone who has served and is still serving in the US military. The department also acknowledged the numerous veterans who currently work in local communities in law enforcement, emergency management, fire, and EMS.
According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, millions of Americans have served in the armed forces since World War II, and many of them remain dedicated to public safety even after leaving the military. Leaders in Pennsylvania's fire services observe that emergency response work directly benefits from the teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills acquired in the military.
