Danville, PA — November 4 — To improve fireground preparedness, the Valley Township Fire Department organised a training session focused on pump operations and hose line progress. In the evening drill, eight members took part. While seasoned drivers updated their abilities under the supervision of training officers, newer firefighters got experience on the pump panel.
Draughting, establishing a water supply, setting appropriate pressures, and coordinating hose advances during movement were all covered in the lesson. In order to control friction loss and preserve steady flow, instructors stressed the importance of constant contact between pump operators and nozzle crews.
