Danville, PA — November 3 — The Valley Township Fire Department had to divide its resources in order to respond to two calls that came in minutes apart. In the first instance, a car struck a deer on Route 54, resulting in a motor vehicle collision. Members of Station 90 controlled traffic, made sure the route was safe for cars, and looked for dangers until the area was cleared.
A second dispatch for a brush fire in Liberty Township was sent out while units were responding to the incident. More employees were dispatched to the call, and staffing was divided. After other departments dealt with the incident, command on the scene put Valley Township units back into operation prior to arrival.
