Danville, PA — November 1 — Department Firewire Montour County participated in a Live Burn Training Day hosted by Mahoning Township Fire Department (East End Fire Company). In order to provide personnel with a safe training setting and a realistic fireground experience, the exercise conducted a controlled structural burn.

Firefighters finished rotations that concentrated on synchronized fire suppression, roof ventilation, and search operations. In the heat and smoke of a live fire, teams practiced communication, hose handling, and responsibility while wearing full PPE. Each evolution was led by training officials, who also kept an eye on safety.
