The discipline was administered in conjunction with the department's participation in the Camden County Urban Search and Rescue team, and it reflects the increasing level of building activity in Winslow Township and surrounding municipalities.

The program focused on stabilizing a trench scene, using specialized tools, and coordinating with multiple agencies to achieve safe outcomes during rescue operations. The Winslow Township Fire Department acknowledged the Camden County Department of Public Safety and Office of Emergency Management for providing the training, and Safety and Survival, LLC for instructing.
