Winslow Township firefighters recently underwent trench-rescue training to ensure safe operations during construction-related events. The discipline was administered in conjunction with the department's participation in the Camden County Urban Search and Rescue team, and it reflects the increasing level of building activity in Winslow Township and surrounding municipalities.

The program focused on stabilizing a trench scene, using specialized tools, and coordinating with multiple agencies to achieve safe outcomes during rescue operations. The Winslow Township Fire Department acknowledged the Camden County Department of Public Safety and Office of Emergency Management for providing the training, and Safety and Survival, LLC for instructing. The department also thanked the Winslow Township Department of Public Works for logistical support.
