On October 16, 2025, volunteers from the Lincoln Fire Company Station 16 were dispatched just before 11:00 p.m. to a reported building fire in the 900 block of West Main Street, according to the department. Squrt 16, Assistant 16, and Chief 16 were already en route prior to dispatch by Lancaster County, following initial reports of a possible chimney fire. Upon arrival, crews found a light smoke condition caused by improper fireplace operation. Firefighters removed burnt debris and ventilated the structure to ensure safety. Rescue 16, Squad 16, and Traffic 16 also responded. Mutual aid assistance was provided on scene by the Ephrata Pioneer Fire Company, Ephrata Community Ambulance Association, and the Cocalico Area Fire Department, while Denver Fire Company Station 13, Schoeneck Fire Company, and Akron Volunteer Fire Company 12 were recalled while en route. The incident was resolved without further escalation, and the department expressed appreciation for its mutual aid partners.
