On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, Lincoln Fire Company Station 16 issued a message of gratitude in recognition of Veterans Day, honoring the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. The company emphasized that the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of veterans continue to protect the freedoms Americans enjoy today.

“Today, we honor and thank all veterans who have served our country. Your courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication will never be forgotten,” the department shared. The fire company also acknowledged the strong ties between military service and the fire service, noting that many firefighters proudly represent both fields of duty.

As Veterans Day observances took place across Lancaster County and beyond, Lincoln Fire Company encouraged residents to recognize and thank those who have served, as well as those still in uniform. The department reaffirmed its commitment to supporting local veterans and ensuring their service is remembered and respected.
