November 14, 2025 — Lincoln Fire Company Station 16 continues its commitment to providing advanced rescue services throughout the community, including specialized technical rope rescue operations. Volunteers are trained to safely access and remove patients from challenging environments such as confined spaces, below-grade areas, elevated positions, and other difficult-to-reach locations.
To perform these rescues safely, firefighters rely on highly engineered rope systems, hardware, and associated equipment. Due to safety standards, this equipment carries a maximum service life of 10 years—and must be replaced regularly, even sooner if heavily used.
Community support plays a critical role in ensuring this equipment remains modern, reliable, and ready for service. Donations directly help Station 16 maintain and replace essential rescue tools, allowing firefighters to continue protecting residents when seconds matter.
