Hackensack Fire Department announces promotion of three officers

October 29, 2025 — Hackensack Fire Department reported that Deputy Chief Thomasey, Captain Giarrusso, and Lieutenant D’Amore were officially sworn in during the Hackensack Council Meeting last night. The ceremony marked an important milestone in each officer’s career and recognized their leadership, experience, and continued commitment to the community.

According to the department, these promotions strengthen operational readiness and reinforce the department’s dedication to professional development within its ranks. Members, families, and city officials attended the event to show support and congratulate the newly appointed officers.
