Hackensack Fire Department assists with emergency food drive collection efforts

November 1, 2025 — Full Hackensack Fire Department reported that members of the Fourth Platoon assisted with the Emergency Food Drive today in between responding to calls for service. Firefighters supported collection efforts alongside community partners to help ensure donated goods reached those in need.


According to the department, in addition to City Hall and the Recreation Center, several fire stations served as designated drop-off locations, including Engine 1 on Hudson Street, Engine 2 on South Summit Avenue, and Engine 5 on the north end of Main Street. The department encouraged residents to participate and noted that contributions directly benefit local families.


The Hackensack Fire Department expressed appreciation to community members and organizations involved, highlighting the continued collaboration that strengthens outreach and support within the city.
