Closter Volunteer Fire Department assists with flag detail honoring fallen Saddle Brook firefighter

November 22, 2025 —Closter Volunteer Fire Department reported that it was honored to assist the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department in providing a United States flag detail in Saddle Brook for the funeral services of Saddle Brook Fire Department member Frank Dibella, who recently answered his last alarm.


According to the department, Closter firefighters stood alongside fellow agencies to pay tribute to Dibella’s service, dedication, and commitment to his community. The flag detail served as a symbol of respect and solidarity within the fire service.


The Closter Volunteer Fire Department extended its condolences to the Dibella family, the Saddle Brook Fire Department, and all those mourning his loss, noting that his memory and contributions will not be forgotten.
