November 16, 2025 —Cliffside Park Volunteer Fire Department reported that members spent Sunday morning participating in a roof rope rescue drill designed to enhance technical rescue skills. The training focused on safely operating on elevated surfaces, managing rope systems, and practicing victim movement and removal techniques.
According to the department, regular scenario-based training ensures firefighters remain prepared for complex rescue situations where precision, communication, and teamwork are critical. Members noted that continued practice strengthens operational readiness and improves overall safety on emergency scenes.
