Dwelling Fire on Main St. in Red Hill

RED HILL, PA - On Tuesday, November 22nd at 12:12 P.M., Red Hill Fire Co., along with several other fire companies, were dispatched for a dwelling fire at 440 Main St., in the borough. The dwelling was a double home on the corner of Main and 4th St.

Upon arrival, first responders had flames and heavy smoke showing. A second dispatch was put in immediately for additional manpower companies. The smoke was visible from several miles away. The fire was brought under control within one hour, and there was no report of injuries. The cause of the fire is pending the outcome of the investigation.

There was a large amount of damage to the home, as well as damage to the adjoining home. Two large vent holes were cut out in the front peak of the roof on both sides of the double homes.

Assisting Red Hill Fire Co. were Pennsburg, East Greenville, Green Lane, Upper Frederick, Upper Salford, Trumbauersville, Milford, Souderton, West End of Quakertown, Hereford, Eastern Berks, and New Hanover. Fire Police from Red Hill, Pennsburg, and East Greenville were also on scene, as well as EMS units from Upper Perk and Plymouth.
