Bloomsburg Boat Canceled After Vehicle Found in Ditch

Catawissa Township, Pa. — September 28, 2026 — Firefighters and emergency crews responded Monday evening to a reported motor-vehicle crash with possible entrapment along Mountain Road in Catawissa Township.

The call was dispatched at approximately 8:40 p.m. for a vehicle reported to be in a creek along Mountain Road. Stations 50 and 60 were initially dispatched, according to the Catawissa Fire Company.

First-arriving chiefs reached the scene and found the vehicle in a ditch rather than requiring the water-rescue operation initially anticipated. Based on the conditions found, Bloomsburg Fire Company's boat and rescue units were canceled.
