Carlisle, Pa. — November 20 — The Carlisle Fire Department distributed 100 smoke detectors to students in the Carlisle Area School District this week as part of a continued effort to improve home fire safety. The initiative was funded by the Carlisle Borough Government and coordinated in partnership with school faculty and administrators.
Fire officials emphasized the program’s impact, noting that properly installed and working smoke detectors remain one of the most effective tools for saving lives during home fires. The department expressed appreciation to the school district for helping ensure the units reached families who need them most.
