Township of Spring, Pa. — November 13, 2025 —On Thursday morning, Township of Spring Fire Rescue Services went to the intersection of Hillvale Avenue and Garfield Avenue for a reported vehicle incident involving a rollover. The Western Berks EMS units Medic 6521 and I6522 were also summoned. Rescue Engine 85 arrived and discovered a two-car accident with one vehicle flipped. Police on scene confirmed two individuals, no trapping, and minor fluid leakage.

Rescue Engine 85 crews assessed both individuals and determined that one needed to be transported and the other needed additional evaluation. Firefighters secured both vehicles and dealt with fluid concerns as EMS provided patient care. Medic 6521 took over treatment and drove the patient to a nearby medical facility. Rescue Engine 85 stayed on the site until EMS cleared and was then released by Township Police. All units resumed service without further problem.
