Saxton, Pa. — November 19 — Saxton Volunteer Fire Company was summoned Monday to Bailey Lane for a Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) mission to assist Blair 60 with a working residential fire. Rescue 35 responded with four personnel and arrived on stage as planned while interior workers continued their work. Command 60 later reassigned the Rescue 35 team to conduct overhaul operations. Firefighters assisted by pulling ceilings and checking the basement area to ensure there was no remaining fire extension before units were released from the scene.
