Long Pond, PA — 20 November — On Thursday, there were two significant events at Department Tunkhannock Twp. Vol. Fire Co. Station 42, 1539 Long Pond Rd, Long Pond, PA. Tanker 42, Tanker 42-1, and Engine 42 were dispatched early in the day to help Penn Forest Township Volunteer Fire Company #2 with a house fire. The incident was supported by several departments, and crews stayed dedicated to overhaul, tanker shuttle operations, and suppression for about six hours.
Rescue 42, Engine 42, and Utility 42 were sent out once more shortly after 6 p.m., this time to react to a car collision on Interstate 80 in the township alongside Pocono Summit Volunteer Fire Company. While traffic agencies oversaw lane closures, units handled roadway safety, secured the scene, and assisted EMS.
