Kresgeville, PA — 27 October — Department The Polk Township Volunteer Fire Company, located at 511 Interchange Road in Kresgeville, Pennsylvania, is getting ready for its yearly Trunk-or-Treat event, which will provide families with a fun and safe place to spend Halloween. The evening will feature candy stops, decorated cars, and chances for kids to interact with firemen and get up close and personal with emergency equipment.

In addition to being a community outreach initiative, the event gives firefighters a chance to reiterate safety themes in a fun environment. Similar Halloween initiatives are carried out by other departments in Pennsylvania to promote safe trick-or-treating techniques and keep kids off of congested roads.
