Allendale Fire Department participates in full day of community events across the region

October 19, 2025 — Full Allendale Fire Department reported a busy and exciting day filled with community engagement, fitness, and family-friendly activities. The day began with firefighters supporting the annual Allendale 5K by providing road closures and ensuring a safe route for runners and spectators.
Following the race, crews traveled to Northern Highlands Regional High School to participate in the Touch-a-Truck event hosted by Borst Landscaping. Firefighters said they appreciated the invitation and enjoyed meeting families, interacting with children, and handing out helmets to aspiring future first responders.
Later in the afternoon, members made a quick stop in Hawthorne to attend the Hawthorne Fire Department’s car show, rounding out a full day of regional involvement and community spirit.
The Allendale Fire Department expressed its gratitude to event organizers and residents for their warm welcome throughout the day and noted how proud they were to participate in activities that bring the community together.
