Pocono Pines, Pa. — November 9 — Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Company hosted a carbon monoxide safety session at the Lake Naomi Club Community Centre, educating locals about the dangers of CO, how to install detectors correctly, and how to make their homes safer. Following a devastating carbon monoxide incident in September, the Lake Naomi and Timber Trails Community requested the program.
At the Nathan family's request, the Lake Naomi Club hosted the event in honour of Bill and Ellen Nathan. Tobyhanna Township firefighters were joined by members of Tunkhannock Township Volunteer Fire Company, Station 42, to assist with the presentation and respond to audience enquiries. Crews talked about prevalent household sources, seasonal CO hazards, and township-wide preventative strategies.
