Pocono Pines, Pa. — October 23 — On Thursday, a car fire near a township home was reported, and the Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Company responded. Because of the possible exposure risk, Tunkhannock Township Volunteer Fire Company and Pocono Mountain Regional EMS provided additional assistance in response to the incident.
When Command 41 arrived, they verified that there was a working car fire close to the house. While personnel from the Pocono Pines station arrived with 41-Rescue Engine-3, crews from the Blakeslee station responded with 41-Tanker-2 to help with water delivery. Firefighters kept the fire under control and stopped heat or flames from entering the house.
