Lewistown, PA — 15th November — During a brush fire on Saturday afternoon, the Newton Wayne Fire Company received mutual aid assistance from the Department West Granville Township Fire Company. Initially asked to set up a fill site, Engine 17 refilled eight tankers that supplied water to the fire line.

The department's tanker was sent out shortly after to reinforce the water shuttle. The tanker supplied 2.5 loads, or roughly 5,000 gallons, to help field-based suppression teams. As activities proceeded, the consistent water supply assisted in keeping the brush fire under control.
