McVeytown, PA — 11th November — Department McVeytown Volunteer Fire Co. celebrated Veterans Day by honouring the sacrifice and devotion of those who have served in the country's armed forces. According to the department, a large number of veterans continue their dedication to public service by joining fire and emergency medical services organizations around Pennsylvania, contributing their expertise and leadership to local emergency responses.

According to members, Veterans Day offers a crucial opportunity to honour the principles that firefighters and members of the armed forces have in common: discipline, cooperation, and a readiness to stand up when necessary. The department thanked all veterans and urged the community to keep commemorating their contributions all year long.
