Closter VFD Responds Mutual Aid for SCBA Air Refill Request

Closter, N.J. — October 29 —At about 2:30 a.m., the Closter Volunteer Fire Department responded to the Borough of Bergenfield's mutual-aid request for breathing-air refill services at a house fire. Closter personnel responded with the department's air unit to assist firemen working within the structure. The refill operation enabled on-scene workers to cycle their SCBA cylinders while ensuring safe inside fire suppression actions.
