Kenilworth, N.J. — November 17 — Shortly after 5 p.m. on Monday, Kenilworth Engine 63 was dispatched to Roselle for a fourth-alarm fire involving three residential structures. The crew of Engine 63 ran a handline into the group's right-most dwelling, where they met intense fire in the attic division. Crews fought tirelessly to extinguish the fire and support interior teams already operating within the impacted houses.
Engine 63 worked for over an hour before being sent to standby at Roselle Fire Headquarters, where they provided coverage for other calls until 10 p.m. The department commended the mutual-aid firms' strong collaboration as teams attempted to contain the problem.
