Penn Hills, Pa. — November 8 — Stations 225, 221, 222, 227, and 285 were assigned to the 2700 block of Robinson Boulevard just before 2 p.m. Saturday to respond to multiple dryers on fire inside a laundromat. Station 225 arrived with smoke, necessitating an upgrade that included Stations 153, 216, and 223 on the assignment. Trucks 225 and 227 arrived first, extending a line from 225 to extinguish the burning dryers while firefighters assessed the surrounding areas for any extensions.

Engine 222 was tasked with ventilation, while Engine 285 checked the roof to verify the fire hadn't spread further. The issue was resolved in about 20 minutes, with no reported injuries. The Allegheny County Fire Marshal's Office is looking into the reason. The command was held by 225 Chief.
