Penn Hills Crews Support Multi-Alarm Fire Response

Penn Hills, Pa. — November 7 — On Friday afternoon, companies were called to the 40 block of Churchill Road for a reported house fire. While units were arriving, the 122 Chief arrived to see smoke and quickly requested a second alarm. First responders initiated suppression efforts and successfully contained the fire within the structure. A short time later, Truck 227 and Engine 222 were added to fill assignments to supply more personnel.
Second-alarm companies assisted with overhaul and standby operations until the crisis was under control. There were no injuries reported, and the Allegheny County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire. 122 Chief kept command throughout the incident.
