203 Engine Quickly Knocks Down Exterior and First-Division Fire

Munhall, Pa. — November 12 — Wednesday afternoon, Munhall Volunteer Fire Company #4 was dispatched to a reported house fire in the 200 block of East 18th Avenue. Engine 203 responded quickly and was the first to arrive, securing a water supply and putting an attack line into service. Crews swiftly extinguished fires on the home's exterior and first division. Rescue 203 arrived shortly after, doing a main search before opening up on the second division to assist 171 Engine.
Firefighters from 203 also helped with the roof ventilation. In total, twelve Munhall volunteers were on the scene. The Allegheny County Fire Marshal's Office is looking into the cause of the fire.
