Lewistown, Pa. — November 5 — Strong winds and persistent rain poured through Mifflin County, prompting City Hook & Ladder #14, 317 Valley Street, to react to a number of weather-related occurrences. Calls about downed trees, wire issues, and roadblocks were received throughout the area, making it a hectic time for local departments.

As fire departments struggled to clear debris, handle utility issues, and guarantee safe travel on rural routes impacted by fallen trees and soggy ground, dispatch centres reported a steady call traffic. Conditions were difficult due to the combination of wind gusts and heavy rain, especially in wooded areas where storm impacts are typically more severe.
