Upper St. Clair, Pa. — October 30 — The Upper St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department is advising residents to avoid parking on dry leaves as temperatures drop and leaf piles develop throughout the township. A catalytic converter can achieve temperatures of over 1,200°F, but dry leaves and light plants require only approximately 300°F to ignite.
