November 9, 2025 — Full A.F. Dobler Hose & Ladder Co. issued an urgent weather advisory after the National Weather Service in Cleveland released a Winter Storm Watch for portions of Erie and Crawford Counties, effective from 7 p.m. this evening through Tuesday evening.
According to the National Weather Service, heavy lake-effect snow is possible, with total accumulations between 4 and 7 inches. The watch area includes Crawford, Northern Erie, and Southern Erie Counties, impacting communities such as Titusville, Meadville, Corry, Edinboro, Erie, and Union City.
Forecasters warned that visibility may drop below one-quarter mile in falling and blowing snow, and snowfall rates could exceed 1 to 2 inches per hour in stronger lake-effect bands. Gusty winds combined with the weight of heavy snow could down tree limbs and power lines, resulting in sporadic outages. Travel may become difficult, and hazardous conditions are likely to affect the Monday morning and evening commutes, as well as the Tuesday morning commute.
A.F. Dobler Hose & Ladder Co. encouraged residents to remain alert, monitor weather updates, and prepare for potentially dangerous winter conditions.
