Media, Pa. — October 17 — Media Fire Hook & Ladder Company No. 1 was dispatched at 7:21 p.m. to a reported building fire in the 300 block of Vernon Street. Media Police arrived first and confirmed an active exterior fire. Chief and Engine 73 arrived moments later and made a quick knockdown, holding most of the fire to the outside of the structure with only minor extension inside. A working fire assignment was transmitted but recalled prior to arrival due to the fast action of first-in crews.

Company 23 and mutual-aid partners remained on scene for an extended period to complete overhaul and assist investigators. No injuries were reported. The department thanked all assisting companies for their support and strong coordinated effort.
