Chester, Pennsylvania — December 3 — Recently, firefighters from the City of Chester Bureau of Fire finished an industrial rescue training course known as "man vs. machine." The course concentrated on methods for securely freeing victims who are ensnared in a range of industrial devices as well as other commonplace technology that may pose entrapment risks. During complicated crises, the training focused on coordinated rescue efforts, patient protection, and scene safety. Erick Myers and Mike McMahon of the Montgomery County Fire Academy gave the instruction. In addition to ensuring that every department member had practical experience, the workshop emphasized the value of ongoing training in order to be ready for specific rescue scenarios.
