Center Valley, Pa. — October 20 — On Monday morning, the Upper Saucon Volunteer Fire Department conducted a fire safety class at The Children's Learning Centre Coopersburg Campus. Engine 27 was transported to the school by a three-person crew, allowing young pupils to have a close-up look at the tools and machinery used in emergency situations.
In addition to answering enquiries about their equipment and tools, firefighters discussed fundamental fire safety with the kids. One of the highlights of each year's visit was when students took turns investigating the engine and posing for pictures with the truck. Each class had time with the crew thanks to staff members who helped with the rotations.
