Allentown, Pa. — November 3 — On Monday night, firefighters of Stations 32 and 3 joined the Woodlawn Fire Department for a combined search and rescue training exercise. Firefighters were able to practice inside search techniques in a realistic environment during the simulation, which was conducted inside an acquired structure in the township.

Crews reviewed victim-location strategies, practiced keeping focused in low-visibility situations, and worked through fundamental search patterns. Firefighters were able to go through situations akin to those found in older township homes thanks to the structure's various rooms and obstructions. Additionally, the exercise improved cooperation between agencies who frequently work together on calls for mutual assistance.
