Patient Extricated and Transferred to EMS After Two-Car Incident.

Allentown, Pa. — October 22 — On Wednesday morning, the Woodlawn Fire Department was called to a car collision with entrapment near Mauch Chunk Road and Peachtree Road. One individual was trapped inside a wrecked car when Rescue 11 and Rescue Engine 11 arrived with eight crew.
In order to provide sufficient access for a safe extrication, crews carried out a partial side removal. Firefighters opened the side of the car to release the patient after stabilising the vehicle and positioning cutting instruments. After being extracted, the patient was given to Cetronia EMS for assessment and transportation.
