October 31, 2025 — Hampton Township Fire & Rescue reported that Branchville Lawson Road was closed between Church Road and Haggerty Road after trees and utility wires came down on Thursday. The incident caused significant disruption in the area and required motorists to use alternate routes.

During the closure, access to Clearview Lake remained available via Haggerty Road. Residents were advised to avoid the affected section of roadway until crews could clear the hazard and ensure the area was safe.

Officials also reminded the public to exercise caution during storm-related conditions and to never approach or drive over downed wires.
