Neshannock Township, Pa. — October 19 — As part of its continued efforts to educate people about fire safety, Neshannock Township Fire Company visited a number of nearby schools earlier this month. Sparky the Fire Dog and firefighters discussed fundamental safety procedures, smoke alarm use, and home escape preparations with the students. The larger fire-prevention campaign that takes place throughout Lawrence County every October is bolstered by these visits.

Students enquired about emergency response, firefighting equipment, and tools. Additionally, several classrooms exchanged thank-you notes, demonstrating the close bond between the school community and the fire department. The department stated that fostering long-term safety in the municipality still heavily relies on early education.
