Throop, Pa. — October 27 — Throop Hose Company #1 participated in Mid Valley Elementary School's Fire Prevention Day by educating students about safety alongside crews from Dickson City and Olyphant. Alongside Dickson City Ladder 23 and Olyphant Ladder 26 with Engine 26-4, Throop troops comprised Ladder 27, Rescue 27, and Engine 27. Firefighters talked about how emergency teams respond to calls, exhibited tools and equipment, and went over fundamental fire safety procedures.

Dickson City Borough, Olyphant Borough, and Throop Borough all strongly supported the event. No student images were shared in compliance with school privacy policies. The visit reaffirmed the departments' continued dedication to preventative education and community engagement.
