Dunmore, Pa. — October 17 — Dunmore Firefighters IAFF Local 860 visited the Dunmore YMCA to conclude its yearly Fire Prevention Month program. Children were met by A-Shift firefighters to learn about fundamental fire safety, smoke alarm awareness, and emergency procedures. Kids had the chance to get up close and personal with fire vehicles and equipment during the tour. A month of school and nursery visits throughout the Borough came to an end with the YMCA stop, carrying on a long-standing initiative to teach young residents about early safety.
