Moosic, Pa. — October 21 — On Tuesday night, the Greenwood Fire Department, located at 3727-41 Birney Avenue in Moosic, Pennsylvania, responded to a multi-vehicle collision with fire on Interstate 81 northbound close to the 180.5-mile marker. After callers reported conflicting information on the number of automobiles involved, the Old Forge Fire Department offered mutual help.

When firefighters arrived, they saw a small fire starting to spread and other automobiles with damage. While workers examined every car for occupants and potential dangers, a queue was put in place to put out the fire. While units worked along the freeway, law enforcement controlled traffic.
