Westampton, N.J. — October 15 —Engine 5011, Ladder 5015, and Westampton Township Emergency Services responded this morning to Rancocas Valley Regional High School for an alarm activation. Crews found a small amount of smoke in the cafeteria due to burned food in the kitchen.
School staff acted quickly and evacuated students when the alarm sounded. At no time were students in danger, and firefighters cleared the smoke shortly after arriving. After the incident, Vice Principal Bowker gave several new firefighters a brief tour of the building to help them become familiar with the high school's layout for future responses.
