Pittsburgh, Pa. — October 31 —Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire Recruit Class 135 finished three days of live fire training at the Allegheny County Fire Academy. They completed a series of controlled burns to prepare for front-line operations. Despite the changing weather, recruits trained in realistic conditions. These conditions included smoke-filled rooms, limited visibility, and coordinated search-and-rescue movements. The training marks a key milestone for Class 135 as they continue their progression toward graduation in December. The Bureau notes that these multi-day burns help build confidence and reinforce core tactics for new firefighters.
