Port Royal, Pa. — November 3 — In Turbett Township, Friendship Fire Company No. 1 responded to a house fire off Sawmill Road. Mutual assistance organizations were present, as were squad, tanker, brush, and utility units. While other units staged on Sawmill Road, Squad 1 and Mifflintown Hose Truck 2 gained access to the premises. During operations, Tanker 1 set up the dump site and provided support for two active fill stations. Before clearing, crews laboured for a little more than three hours. There were no reported injuries.
