Summerville, Pa. — November 11 — The Summerville Volunteer Firemen's Association and members of the Pine Creek Volunteer Fire Department conducted a rope rescue exercise. Firefighters strengthened their rescue readiness by practicing rigging, knot work, and patient moving skills in spite of below-freezing weather. Teamwork, safety, and readiness for technical rescue missions were all stressed in the joint training.
