SALTSBURG, Pa. — October 21 — Weekly training for the Iselin/West Lebanon Volunteer Fire Company focused on fire response and electric vehicle (EV) issues. Firefighters talked about safe handling and shutdown techniques for hybrid and electric cars and examined the department's emergency plug carried on Rescue/Engine 311.

When working with high-voltage systems, members also studied scene safety, hazard assessment, and fire suppression techniques. The training reinforced current safety standards and improved preparedness for modern vehicle situations.
