Engine 19 Responds to Pike Township Garage Incident with Live Wires Down

Pike Township, Pa. — October 30 —On Thursday morning, Engine 19 from the Earl Township Fire Company went to help the Oley Fire Company with a reported building collapse in Pike Township.
When they arrived, Assistant 5 confirmed there was a garage with some minor damage and live electrical wires sparking on the ground. The response included only Engine 19 and Rescue 5, while other units were sent away. Crews stayed on the scene until MetEd arrived to shut off the power and make sure the area was safe.
